The KX71-3 is built for the jobs a full-size excavator can't get to. At just under five feet wide it works in backyards, along house lines, and between trees, and its short 18-inch tail overhang lets it swing close to fences, walls, and buildings without hitting them.
It digs nearly ten feet deep and reaches 16 feet out at ground level. The dozer blade backfills trenches and levels loose dirt, and the hydraulic thumb turns the bucket into a grabber for logs, brush, rocks, and debris.

This is the workhorse for full-size excavation. It digs nearly 20 feet deep, reaches over 28 feet out at ground level, and loads trucks up to about 20 feet high, so it handles the utility trenches, foundations, ponds, and large earthmoving jobs that a small machine can't touch.
The long undercarriage keeps it stable while it works, and the enclosed cab keeps the operator comfortable through a long day of digging.

The D1 is the machine that finishes the ground. Its hydrostatic drive gives smooth, controllable power for pushing dirt, spreading and leveling material, and fine grading, and it stays compact enough for jobs where a bigger dozer would be overkill.
This one wears cab screens and heavy overhead guarding for working around brush and trees, which makes it a good fit for cleared land that still needs to be pushed up and graded.

Do you rent equipment?
Yes. We rent out our Kubota KX71-3 mini excavator by the day, weekend, week, or month. The Cat 313F L GC excavator and Cat D1 dozer are used on our own jobs, so if you need that kind of work done, request a free quote instead.
How much does it cost to rent the mini excavator?

Can I rent the mini excavator with an operator?
Yes. The mini excavator is available with or without an operator. Tell us which you'd like on the request form, or if you're not sure, we'll go over the options with you.
What can a mini excavator do?
A mini excavator digs trenches for water, drain, and electrical lines, digs footings, cuts drainage ditches, removes stumps and brush, and moves and backfills material. The dozer blade levels dirt and the hydraulic thumb lets it pick up logs, rocks, and debris.
Will the mini excavator fit through my gate?
The KX71-3 is 4 ft 11 in wide, just under five feet, so it gets into many tight spots a full-size machine can't. Measure your gate or opening first, and if it's close, call us and we'll help you figure it out.
Can you do the work for me instead of renting?
Yes. We do excavation, land clearing, demolition, ponds, erosion control, and land development with our own equipment and crew. Request a free quote and we'll look at the job.
